Het is enerzijds natuurlijk niet toegelaten om illegale software, waaronder gekopieerde games, op je systeem te hebben staan maar anderzijds is het natuurlijk ook vreemd dat Microsofts nieuwe besturingssysteem zomaar op jouw systeem op zoek gaat naar illegale software.
Een update aan Microsofts End User Licence Agreement geeft het bedrijf echter het recht om vanop afstand je systeem te scannen en de illegale software onklaar te maken. We halen deze nieuwe voorwaarden even aan:
"[Microsoft] may automatically check your version of the software and download software update or configuration changes, including those that prevent you from accessing the Services, playing counterfeit games, or using unauthorised hardware peripheral devices," staat er te lezen tussen de nieuwe regels en voorwaarden.
Microsoft moet nog wel bevestigen of het deze plannen zal doorzetten, en het is dus nog niet officieel, maar een verwittigd mens...
