Friday the 13th: The Game krijgt single player-modus

    Het niet onaardige multiplayer horrorspel Friday the 13th: The Game krijgt dan toch een single player-modus. De nieuwste patch die vandaag verschenen is voegt immers een exploreerbare Virtual Cabin 2.0 en bots voor offline play. Ook vermeldenswaardig is dat deze update hint naar een nieuwe Jason-skin en map, beide gebaseerd op de sci-fi outing Jason X. Deze zouden in 2018 verschijnen.

    De nieuwe patch voegt dus onderstaande features toe aan de game:

    • Virtual Cabin 2.0 - a first person exploratory "dev diary" of Friday The 13th with loads of secrets...
    • Offline Bots - matches can now be played offline, with players controlling Jason
    • Shelly Finkelstein from Friday the 13th Part 3 added as playable counselor
    • Level Cap has been increased to 150 with new Jason skins, new kills, new clothing options for counselors and additional future content

    Het is in de Virtual Cabin dat spelers ontdekt hebben dat de Jason X-content in 2018 naar de game komt. Het is na het oplossen van een puzzel, dat de aankomende Jason X futuristic 'Uber Jason' skin voor Jason Voorhees vrijgespeeld kan worden. De bijhorende bio duidt ook op de bijhorende Grendel-map, die eveneens in 2018 verschijnt.
