Craig Bellamy on Luis Suárez: "He was an incredible player and a lovely guy. He trained hard and worked relentlessly during matches. People talk about him diving but he took a hell of a lot of punishment, too. He would take his socks off after a game and his calves and his ankle would be black and blue from where he had been kicked."no votes

The Scout
With the summer pleasantries now over, it’s time for the Scout to unfurl the pre-season dossier. The first Gameweek is in sight and already Fantasy managers are served some tricky propositions to ponder.
Three of last season’s top four face testing trips. Only Manchester City find themselves at home with new boys Swansea City rolling into the Etihad Stadium, a fixture which looks certain to spark plenty of Fantasy interest. A clean sheet and goals for Roberto Mancini’s side will be the popular prediction here – the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all appear to face far sterner tests at Stoke City, Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion respectively.
Of the promoted sides, only QPR enjoy home comforts and, having secured his Loftus Road future, Neil Warnock will surely look to Adel Taarabt to help turn Bolton Wanderers over. The Trotters arrive with an abysmal away record of one point in their last twelve matches on the road in 2010/11; that offers plenty of hope for the Championship’s top guns with Taarabt leading the Fantasy value on offer.
Talking tactics
With both Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero currently lacking match fitness, Edin Dzeko has caught the Scout‘s eye of late. Playing as the lone forward in Man City’s 4-2-3-1, Dzeko is shaping up well ahead of the season opener at home to Swansea - he’s scored against Inter Milan and Man Utd in his last two matches.
New Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas normally favours a 4-3-3 but a recent trial of 4-2-3-1 with Frank Lampard in a deeper midfield role is a worry for Fantasy managers. Up top, it’s impossible to predict who will lead the line – a punt on Didier Drogba could potentially backfire if Fernando Torres recovers in time from concussion, and with in-form Daniel Sturridge suspended for the first three matches, the Scout reckons Florent Malouda will be crucial at the Britannia.
Aaron Ramsey looks likely to be prominent in Arsene Wenger’s plans for the Gunners trip to Newcastle on Saturday evening. With Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri itching for moves away from the Emirates, the young Welshman is set to play in the ‘hole’ and that 4-4 draw at St James’ Park is still fresh in the Scout’s mind.
By the numbers
Goals scored in pre-season
Victor Moses | Wigan Athletic - 5
Ivan Klasnic | Bolton Wanderers - 5
Wayne Rooney | Manchester Utd - 5
Nani | Manchester Utd - 4
Kevin Davies | Bolton Wanderers - 4
Robin Van Persie | Arsenal - 3
Andy Carroll | Liverpool - 3
Stephane Sessegnon | Sunderland - 3
Darren Bent | Aston Villa - 3
Daniel Sturridge | Chelsea - 3
A round-up of the form players over pre-season shows how quickly Man Utd have hit their stride. The champions have been lethal, winning all seven of their pre-season matches and set themselves up very nicely for Gameweek 1 by battling back to beat Man City in last Sunday’s Community Shield. A trip to West Brom should give Wayne Rooney and Nani the chance to fill their boots – the Baggies chalked up just 2 clean sheets last season.
Arsenal will be sweating on the fitness of Robin Van Persie ahead of the trip to Newcastle – the Dutchman has netted in each of his last three matches, while Kevin Davies will be looking to spoil the QPR party as Bolton head to Loftus Road; Ivan Klasnic may have to settle for a bench role here with Owen Coyle perhaps leaning towards a 4-5-1 away from home.
Ones to watch
John Arne Riise
A proven Premier League performer, the left-back’s arrival lends weight to Martin Jol’s promise of attacking football. At the back, Fulham chalked up 14 clean sheets last time round, a total bettered only by the top three. With a home tie against Aston Villa on the horizon, the Scout has a feeling Riise’s Cottagers top-flight debut could kick off in style.
Nani
The highest points scorer last season, Nani approaches this week’s away trip to West Brom at the top of his game. A Community Shield double against Man City served reminder of his Fantasy potential and he’ll be a key figure on Sunday.
David Silva
While uncertainty surrounds the Man City forward areas, Silva, as the chief architect, looks an assured starter. Nine wins in their last ten home games last season saw Roberto Mancini’s side turn the Etihad Stadium into a real fortress – Swans boss Brendan Rodgers will have every right to fear the little Spaniard in Monday’s showdown.
Victor Moses
Handed a first-team opportunity by Charles N’Zogbia’s move to Aston Villa, Moses has grabbed it with both hands. Five goals in six pre-season matches has him blinking on the Scout’s radar and with a home tie against promoted Norwich City, Moses – at just 5.0m – looks a canny piece of business.
Andy Carroll
Finally back to full fitness and beginning to settle at Liverpool. The England forward has scored in each of his last two matches and, with Luis Suarez still lacking match fitness after his Copa America exploits, Carroll (10.0m) looks to be the man to turn to for the Anfield clash with Sunderland. My specs: Corsair 650D; Corsair 850HX PSU; Asus P8P67 Pro; Intel Core i5 2500K @4,5Ghz; Corsair H80; Corsair Dominator DDR3 8GB; MSI GTX 560 Ti TFII SLI; OCZ Vertex II 90GB; 2x Western Digital 320GB S-ATA3

Nu moet ik met 5 verdedigers spelen, aangezien ik geen Everton of Spurs-spelers mag opstellen
