Petitie research budget EU
This week, on 22 and 23 November, the European Union heads of states and governments will meet to discuss the EU research budget for the next seven years. Several EU Member States are demanding severe cuts on the total EU budget and research will have to compete with other policy priorities. An online petition has been launched to make the case to protect research funding, including that of the European Research Council (ERC), from cuts. If you wish to sign the petition and/or have additional information about the initiative, please visit the site:
Petition - Secure the EU research budget for a future-oriented EU budget
Please note that this action is coordinated by the Initiative for Science in Europe and the Young Academy of Europe (Young Academy of Europe). Please contact Wolfgang Eppenschwandtner <ise@i-se.org>, Executive Coordinator of the ISE, or Leif Schröder <lschroeder@fmp-berlin.de>, Secretary of the YAE, if you have any questions or suggestions.
Kind Regards,

Signed.
