Take-Two CEO hints at Red Dead Redemption 2 | VideoGamer

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has dropped the greatest hint yet that a sequel to 2010 open-world hit Red Dead Redemption could be in the works.

Speaking during Take-Two's Q1 FY14 earnings results last night, Zelnick stated that the publisher's goal is "to try to create permanent franchises", before referencing BioShock, Borderlands and Red Dead.

"And it's been our goal not just to preserve and grow the Grand Theft Auto franchise, but also to build other franchises that we think can be permanent, whether that's the Red Dead franchise or the Borderlands franchise or the BioShock franchise or others, Civilization, for example."

Take-Two, which owns Rockstar Games, has yet to announce a sequel to Red Dead Redemption, but previous comments from Rockstar have suggested a sequel may be in development.

Back in July last year, Rockstar asked fans to "stay tuned for further announcements about the future of the Red Dead series".

Maar vond de eerste RDR zeker één van de beste games van deze generatie.

Eerder deze week beweerde iemand de map van de game te hebben.
Volgens bronnen van Techradar is ze echt.

De game zelf zou zich afspelen vóór Red Dead Redemption, in een gebied ten noordoosten van Blackwater, gebaseerd op o.a. Texas en Louisiana. Blackwater zelf keert bovendien terug.

The map for Rockstar's upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 has leaked online, and been confirmed by our own independent source.

A source close to the development of the new Red Dead game has now confirmed to us that the map is indeed the real deal, revealing that this is a "very recent" art direction map for the upcoming title.
