Set in the shattered subway of a post apocalyptic Moscow, Metro 2033 is a story of intensive underground survival where the fate of mankind rests in your hands.

You are Artyom, born in the last days before the fire, but raised Underground. Heb hem al pre-ordered staan sinds geruime tijd. De games van onze russische vrienden zijn al sinds enige tijd de moeite waard

Naar het schijnt gaat dit spel de grafische grenzen serieus verleggen. De screens zien er iig al goed uit.

Het heeft een 84 gekregen in een bekend boekske. Topgame alhoewel het wel wat foutjes hier en daar heeft alla stalker. Laat het wel duidelijk zijn dat dit geen stalker is omdat dit strik lineair is.

Volgens mij behoorden de makers van dit spel vroeger tot dezelfde ontwikkelaar als die van stalker.

Wel, de mensen achter de engine van stalker zijn een jaar voor de release van de eerste game vertrokken. De engine van metro 2033 is dan ook praktisch hetzeflde als die van stalker. Tesamen met de sfeer en dezelfde voice actors krijg je dus een soort van lookalike. Daar eindigt het wel want je hebt geen open world en ook geen inventory maar wel items.

blijkbaar is het niet dezelfde engine, maar maken ze wel dezelfde fouten(zie tekst en de link hier beneden)..
There's no relationship. Back when I was working as Lead Programmer and Technology Architect on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. it became clearly apparent that many architectural decisions put into S.T.A.L.K.E.R. engine were great for the time when it was designed, but they just doesn't scale to the present day. The major obstacles to the future of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. engine were its inherent inability to be multi-threaded, the weak and error-prone networking model, and simply awful resource and memory management which prohibited any kind of streaming or simply keeping the working set small enough for (back then) 'next-gen' consoles.
When the philosophies of the engines are so radically different it is nearly impossible to share the code,. The final answer is 'no'. We do not have shared code with X-Ray, nor would it be possible to do so.
