    CS:S - FPS > FPS Issue

    Ik heb even op steamforums thread gemaakt over mijn toch wel raar fps probleem. Niet dat jullie er waarschijnlijk iets meekunnen/aankunnen doen. Maar toch post ik het hier, in zijn orginele vorm. Misschien kan iemand me hier ook helpen .

    Well, I have borrowed the gfx card from my brother. A Sapphire x850 XT PE.     The steam-crew will ignore this thread, "just another fps issue, bah, nothing to be concerned". But how do you expect to attract new players into upgrading to source and tournaments to use this game for competitive use when you have this major bug. Wich obviously affects people with good hardware.

    I'm not asking for STEAM to use the magic stick and bring me 100fps, I want an answer, why can't this bug be solved? How can I avoid it? Does HT have something to do with it?


    I hope to get a (mature) and decent respons.

    Ik heb 4 maanden geen internet gehad. Vroeger was het gemiddelde +-130 fps
    met alles op max. Toen ik een maand geleden terug internet had en terug css kon spelen merkte ik dat ik nu maar 50-80 meer had (en dit zonder hdr dan nog ). Dus ik denk dat het aan een update light maar ik heb wel merkbaar (en enorm storend) minder fps. Andere games blijven wel werken zoals vroeger. Zelfs hl2, garry's mod en DoD blijven zoals ze waren. gewoon css nie

    Ze mogen da probleem idd wel eens fixen want ik ga hier nie beginnen scripten
    of mijn gfx lager zetten omda steam et weer eens vrkloot heeft .

    ik draai(de) het met:
    -sapphire x850xt
    -2x 1gb ram ddr400
    -athlon64 3700+

    edit: @ toru, mocht daar op het steam forum een werkend en degelijke oplossing krijgen, zou ge mij die dan kunnen PM'en hier aub ?

    Ik zal deze thread updaten met de antwoorden vanop het steam-forum .

    80 of 100 lijkt geen verschil, maar u beweging(van u cross bv) gaat helemaal anders en slomer dan met 100. Dus het maakt wel uit; voor de eventuele whiners die gaan komen.

    What do you mean what the hell is wrong? FPS drops in any game is normal, that's called PC gaming. It's unrealistic to expect a game to run so flawlessly that it never drops below 100 fps.

    Given the nature of this game, that's normal.

    I'm very tempted to call you an FPS whore, but seriously anything 60 or over is considered smooth gameplay. You're expecting too much FPS given the hardware you have (which isn't very high end mind you).

    It's not a "bug." Besides competitive players play with FPS drops all the time and they're still good. You don't see anyone in competitive leagues complaining that they're not getting 100 fps constant, therefore they're going to withdraw from competition.

    We still have not reached that plateau yet of maintaining over 100 fps in this game. There's nothing wrong with this game, today's hardware is simply not powerful enough to do that.

    The bottom line is that I don't know where you're getting the idea today's high end hardware is supposed to be getting over 100 fps constantly. The fact is, today's hardware cannot do that.

    Uhu, is gewoon random bullshit om mensen onder tafel te praten, heb reply gezet dat ik met mijn mijn oud systeem het dubbele had een half jaar geleden, en dat game-updates een spel moeten upgraden, en smoother moet laten lopen. Niet het omgekeerde.

    Daarna zegt hij vanwaar ik het feit haal dat ik met mijn systeem serieuze fps mag halen, dat dat onmogelijk is...

    Ik drop nooit onder 60 (buiten op die mega servers ) met een 9600Pro 256MB / Athlon XP 3000+ / 1GB DDR333 ... Dus ga je toch moeilijk beweren dat een PC véél krachtiger dan de mijne, daaronder gaat ?

    Mijnen ouden 9600pro dak hier nog liggen heb kan da ook zunne me die cfg.
    Draait em eens op standaart me alles op max (ook aa/af). ge zult em wel zien zakken onder de 20 .

    Het gaat erom dat we vroeger veel meer fps hadden dan nu het geval is.
    Zelfs met dezelfde settings/hardware/drivers/etc...

    had vroeger ook iets meer fps in dust2
    maar sinds een update enkele maanden geleden was dat plots gedaan pak fps minder nu zit ik aan 170 met plotse drops tot 60 wat ervoor dus maw drop van 20 was is nu plots 110 fps maw onspeelbaar op sommige momenten

    de personen die source beta nog kennen weten dat de fps toen ook hoger lagen dan nu, kweet niet wat ze er allemaal aan het veranderen zijn allesinds zaken waar ze beter met hun polle afgebleven waren zie die lijnen in dust 2 waar je ineens AA moet afstaan hebben ... om een nvidia bug op te lossen zeiden ze dan ... activeren zeker

    Ik vraag me eigenlijk af of er al eens een update is geweest waar iets merkbaar werd verbeterd. Met iedere update helpen ze wel iets naar de kloten imo.
    Valve is niet meer wat het ooit was (en voor stond)
