Here's a quick short list off my head, before I compile them all into a page for the site:

    Shift+click
    • On a stack of items to seperate them into 2 stacks.
    • On any lootable object to autoloot everything in it (corpse, mineral node, skinning, quest object, etc)
    • On a player name in the Chat Window which is surrounded by [] brackets to do a /who on him
    • On a spell in your spellbook to auto-generate the /cast spellname(rank x) text into your macro window
    • On any Bag in your toolbar to open/close ALL your bags at a go. (or just rebind B to open all bags)
    • On any item in the Vendor window to buy more than ONE of that item at a time. Say you buy want to buy 20 Coarse threads, just shift+rightclick on the Coarse Thread, type 20. You can only purchase up to one stack this way (so you can't do 21 and more).

While your chat box is active (i.e you are planning to type a message:
    • Shift+Click to link an item into the text. You can link items from your inventory, quest log, auction house, professions skill window. Does not work in General Chat.
    • Alt+Left, Alt+Right, moves your cursor to the left or right so you can edit what you type.
    • Alt+Up, Alt+Down, scrolls through the last 10 or so commands/text messages that you have typed so you can spam the chat channels (just like in mIRC).

    Other Chat-related shortcuts:
    • Hit R to reply automatically to the last person who whispered (Private Message, PM) to you.
    • Hit R, then press TAB TAB TAB to cycle through a list of all players who last whispered to you so you can easily hold multiple chat conversations.
    • Click on a name in the chat window which is surrounded by [] brackets, to do an automatic /tell to him (/whisper).
    • Hover your mouse over a chat windowpane. A "Tab" will appear after a few seconds for that chatpane. Right click on that Tab to see chat options for that pane (BIG menu). Drag that Tab to move the Pane. Available only in Advanced Chat mode (disable Simple Chat in menus).

    Right Click
    • On any enemy to initiate melee attack on it. Works the same as the default key "T".
    • Right click on any object to activate/loot it.
    • Right click on an NPC to talk with it.
    • Right click on an equipable item to equip it if possible.
    • Right click on any item to activate it's effects. Some effects require a target.
    • Right click on an item in the vendor window to buy it.
    • When your Vendor window is open, right clicking an item will sell it instantly. No need to drag it or pick up and drop the item into the Vendor window.
    • When you bank window is open, right click on an item in your inventory to move it into your bank (does not activate/use the item) into a computer-decided empty slot in the bank.

    Left AND right click:
    • Hold down both Left and Right click buttons simultaeneously to walk forward. Use Mouselook for directions.

    Other handy shortcuts
    • Press ESC, choose Key Bindings, and look at all the shortcuts that are possible.
    • Useful ones: F1-F5 select yourself thru your party members.
    • T: Attack selected target
    • F: Select the target of your currently selected target. Example: F2, F, will select the target your second party member is attacking
    • Y: Switch your camera to look behind you (180 degrees). Nice for taking screenshots if you don't want to left+click drag your camera around.
    • Tab, Shift-Tab, cycle through enemies starting from closest first
    • Ctrl+R: Show/Hide FPS
    • Alt+Z: Show/Hide your entire user interface
    • Ctrl+pageup/pagedown: Scroll up down Combat Log. Hold down Shift to scroll to the bottom.
    • Pageup/Pagedown: Scroll up down Chat Log. Hold down Shift to scroll to the bottom.
    • Numlock: Turn on a auto-run mode (recommended to bind middle mouse button)
    • +/- on Keypad: Zoom in/out of minimap, useful to locate that annoying mineral vein hiding somewhere.
    • Printscreen: Saves a screenshot in TGA format in your /screenshots folder.
    • Toggle run/walk mode: Bind it somewhere. Some bug sometimes switches you to walk mode.

    • /who - List the players around your level in the current zone
    • /who r-"Dwarf" - Lists Dwarf players in your faction.
    • /who c-"Mage" - Lists Mage players in your faction.
    • /who z-"Elwynn Forest" - Lists players in Elwynn Forest zone.
    • /who g-"Colony Raiders" - Lists players in the guild Colony Raiders.
    • /who 46 - Lists level 46 players
    • /who 20-30 - Lists players between level 20-30
    • /who [string] - Lists players who's name, guild, race, and class contain the listed string.
    • /script [LUA command] - For UI creators.
    • /console [command] - For performing some game console commands, such as "gxrestart", "reloadui" and "quit".
    • /console [settingname] [newsetting] - For tweaking of game settings.

    You can combine /who commands.
    • /who Ironforge 50-60 mage - Display all mages in Ironforge between level 50-60. Although the technical command is /who z-"Ironforge" 50-60 c-"Mage", because simply using the word Ironforge and Mage in itself will also cause players who have Ironforge and/or Mage in their guild and/or player name to be listed.

    Other useful things to know:
The /WTF/Account/accountname/ folder contains all of your personal settings. The files in your "accountname" folder contain account-wide settings (graphics, sound, interface, keybinds, etc). The 2 files in your specific character subfolder contain your character-specific Chat settings (position, colour, channels, etc).

You can copy the 2 files in your char folder to another char to copy all Chat settings, colours, etc. Very useful when you make a new character.

You will be often told to delete your WTF folder should any data/settings get corrupted. If you do so, you will lose all personal settings. The WDB folder can be deleted safely, they contain temporary cache files for the game (which can be dissected into information, such as how Allahazam does it for part of their data).

    Interface/AddOns Folder:
This folder contains UI addons, if you have any. Each addon requires a .toc file. Inside this .toc file, one of the required lines say
    ## Interface: 4150
where 4150 is the build number of WoW.exe which this UI is made for. Your WoW Build number can be found by running the game. At the login screen at the bottom left corner, you will see the Build Number, copyright info and stuff. When WoW patches to a new version, the Build number will change, and you have to modify all the .TOC files to update this number or the Addon UI will be deemed to have a "outdated version" and stop working.
